    Sadly I think that's fairly accurate at this stage. They just keep getting worse and worse as the years roll on

    Agree. There’s no reason at this point in their career they can’t nail down 60 songs and bring them out on tour.

    That is a bit harsh. I think they could easily pull of a straight forward show with all-time classics, but that is just not their approach. Up until I+E everyone said they were getting better and better live, and all of a sudden they are not? Doesn't make sense to me. Regardless of setlist I think they'll still play stellar gigs because they have a huge back catalogue. Personally I'm a bit gutted by this current setlist, but let's see what will happen in the following weeks.

  9. Eh, I don’t care. You ALL knew that the chances of either of those songs masking it to the actual show are slim, and besides, just because they weren’t in what was a shortened run through of a possible set doesn’t mean they’re gone for good.

    The Iris to UTEOTW sequence was probably the highlight of 2015, though I could understand ditching SFS and SBS. Still, SOI and SOE were always intended to go together, so being mad about seeing SOI songs in the set is just kind of... weird. I guess this is the first time since Lovetown where a new tour had more songs from the last album than just two or three...
  10. I understand the disappointment to an extent around this potential Setlist, although I think people need to scale back the criticism a bit til we know for sure what we’re getting opening night. I don’t get the criticism towards playing SOI songs though. I think because in this new set they’ve taken the place of wild horses and acrobat that’s what’s annoyed people but in reality these are some of the bravest picks on the Setlist and could easily have beeen disregarded for even more hits given the number of SOE songs that will already be in there. For me I’ll be a bit disappointed if they don’t play acrobat and wild horses on opening night, but I still couldn’t criticise the band considering the number of new songs in the set. However, if they play these 2 along side what was rehearsed last night that will turn it all round, I’m either going to be satisfied or delighted.

    100% agreed A to Z.

    It's the Experience AND INNOCENCE tour. Back in 2015 they didn't have the SOE songs to do the "experience" part, but now they do have the SOI songs to fulfill the innocence part of the narrative.

    And, what the heck, even if there is no narrative, I think the band trusting in their most recent work is something to celebrate and not to complain. How many of us regretted there was almost no NLOTH left in the later stages of the 360 Tour and in the I&E Tour? They clearly didn't feel confident in NLOTH as a body of work.

    The fact they're going ahead with the whole Inn&Exp concept by performing many SOI and SOE songs (instead of the obvious alternative, which would be just throwing some SOE songs and fill the rest of the set in with all the classics) is very good.
