1. I got 1000 minutes to any network, 350 free sms and 500 mb for 30€... not that different then. Oh well, enjoy the Samsung S... if you can hold it in your hand ...
  2. I pay about 4 pounds per month for "free" (5000) text messages.
  3. Desire S = Very very nice. Glad to see that HTC have put some work into their build quality. Poor camera as expected. Not really a fan of Sense but I can't yet be bothered fiddling with ROMS etc.
  4. I pay £10 a month roughly (PAYG), get 5000 texts and £20 free credit. More than suits my needs. I do have to buy the 5000 texts bundle though (for £5 which would normally get me just 100 texts). So for a £10 top-up I get £25 flexible credit and 5000 texts. And excellent signal.

Payg is a good value way to go if you fancy buying your own phone. Is prefer a sim only contract though. 15 quid a month on 3 gets you 300 minutes, unlimited texts and data. You can also cancel it anytime, or ten pound a month if you sign up for 12 months. Again no handset though.
  6. Desire S still lovely. No way is it worth 3 times as much as the SanFrancisco I had though.

  7. The Orange SanFrancisco, yeah? That's the phone I currently have. It was £100 well spent, but I have complaints about it - battery life is crap, it can be quite slow, camera is shit... sure there is other things wrong with it too.

Camera is shit on the Desire S too. Can't really comment on battery yet. Screens are similar (desire s is better but I do prefer amoled). The Desire is faster but not 300 quid faster. Have you looked into custom roms yet for the San Fran. It can be speeded up quite easily.

No, I haven't actually. Might actually do that, because it sometimes crashes on apps. How much do you think one would be & would it be alot of hassle to do it?
  10. @Kieran , battery life is shit in everything nowadays (except iPhone, I have to admit). I remember when I charged my old Nokia 3300 only once a week. Now, virtually every smartphone needs to be charged once a day if you do a normal use of it (including internet, camera, music player, texting, etc).
