1. Just all stop replying unless you have something constructive to say, then the thread will bleed to that until someone in a few months kicks it back
  2. Lossy vs lossless is already in the tech thread. Just stick to there. Nice to see that you are still forcing your opinions (based on 'audiophile' opinions) upon other people who simply do not agree with you.

You don't understand what I'm getting at, it's not as simple as "do not agree with me", that's a subjective personal choice completely irrelevant to the objective facts. It's not like saying, I think chocolate ice-cream is the best and if you disagree you're wrong.

People may well think that FLAC sounds better than MP3 and only listen to FLAC, frankly people can and will do whatever they want - I can't stop them.

But that doesn't suddenly render the results meaningless of numerous double blind listening scientifically conducted listening tests (which are double blind as to eliminate any conscious or subconscious bias to either format) which show that the vast majority of listeners are unable to distinguish between the lossless and the MP3 at sufficiently hight bitrates (192kbps +) with a good encoder (like LAME).

I hardly think you can accuse me of trolling lossy vs lossless when I am giving reasons to support my point of view, indeed it'd be refreshing to see someone actually post reasons defending the FLAC point of view, most of your responses so far to any of my statements have simply devolved to "I like it that way so what do you know" or "I don't care for your scientific mumbo jumbo".

And frankly the discussion on the tech pages is primarily about MP3 players and phones.
My point of view is relevant to this topic, in fact I am the only person to introduce this line of thinking, most other posts have been on how the tapers are greedy, selfish egotistical etc.
So would the mods rather have more posts like that over more intellectual reasoning?

I mean even Risto agreed that I wasn't going off topic.
But maybe next time, instead of bringing a different angle to an already tired discussion i'll just add my 2 cents like everyone else?
  4. I didnt say that, i said that the taper shared a lossy version, not to be shared on u2start. We didnt encode it at all. That is why it is offtopic

I agree with your opinion on the FLAC/MP3 thing, but this is not the right place and not the right way to discuss it. Technology topic is, if you must.

Ok, but wasn't the crux of the discussion on how the tapers were annoyed because their lossless uploads were being turned into crappy lossy files? And so if we reasoned with them on that they wouldn't be annoyed any more?

Anyway, I'm tired so i'm off.
  6. So, here are the notes I'll make in the future when I upload a matrix/remaster:

    Do not sell!
Do not convert into mp3 when in one source is noticed that in the info-file!
Do not bitching (you need not to download, I always post samples!). LOL!!! That's a joke!
You always may upload my work on u2start or dimeadozen!
But you may not upload my work on u2torrents! I don't want to see my work there!

    Hope it's not exaggerated.

Does that mean you'll not be visiting U2torrents either?

Dude, calling a brother out like this, bad form, should have PM'd me. I have the right to change my mind.

I found my way here because of all the bad press.

  9. I'll visit u2torrents, sure. But I'll don't upload anything of my work there in the future. Too much trouble. But as I said I'll help reseeding recordings by request (when I have these recordings on one of my harddisks). I only don't want see my things there anymore. I hope you understand.
  10. Hilarious.
  11. Bored yet?
